  • We met Ruthie and her parents when dear friends of ours moved into the same development as the Sullivans. So they inturn became friends to us too. Many many parties, dinners and even a ski trip occurred with them. Ruthie was just a few years older than our children so we knew Ruthie well. I was amazed at her spunkiness and admired her work ethic that kept her going. A sweet kind person.
We send our deepest sympathies to her family and close friends.
Rest In Peace Ruthie…you lived a good life.

  • she will be Dearly missed by all !! She had a very gentle nature. Always tried to help all !!

  • I am so saddened by this loss of a great friend of over 52 years. I met Ruthie when I was young, attending the many pool parties hosted by her parents, Elaine and Walt. She actually babysat for my sister and I during those events and we, the kids, would have our own party while the adults were playing games of that era. I remember those days fondly. Ruthie was a very kind person and was a gentle soul. She will be dearly missed by her family and close friends, to whom Sandy and I wish to extend our deepest condolences. May Ruthie rest in peace.

  • You, Ruthie, are one of a kind. I had the pleasure of having you in my life for 6 years. You loved the angels and now they will love you. Only the GOOD die young. I truly believe this. I will miss your smile, your friendship and your love. I wonder if the angels know what they have in you. I am sure they do. God Bless you Ruthie. I was blessed by knowing you <3

  • You were my Angel here on earth Ruthie! 30 yrs we were friends. The only part that makes this tolerable is the fact that I know you will be watching over cliff,me, and all of your extended family from heaven to laugh and cry with us just like you did here on earth. Cliff you made her life complete and for that alone you will always be a brother to me. You are a great person and a if you need to talk or need anything I will be there. Rest in peace for you have defiantly earned it. God bless you.

  • Heaven’s newest angel, Ruthie, took her earthly angel duties seriously. She spread love in word and deed. Although we were not blood kin, Ruthie was Sister # 3, adopting my sister, Pam Wample and me to be the siblings she never had. My memories are too numerous to begin recounting, but toddler Ruthie’s insistence on kitty cat shaped pancakes lives on. Pam and I adopted Ruthie as the little cheerleader mascot for De La Warr High School, as did the rest of the cheerleaders and the football team.
Ruthie was a junior bridesmaid for me and a loving helper when Scott Wasserman was a baby.
Ruthie loved and helped so many people.
She was an energetic worker with her Dad Walt’s work ethic. She carried on her Mother, Elaine’s, family “first motto” with family going far beyond blood kin.
I am sure that Ruthie is working on her heavenly resume. Though she left us too soon, her strong faith and abounding love will assure her whatever job she wishes.
To Cliff and family goes my deepest sympathy.
Cliff and Ruthie remain a special pair and fond memories of time spent with you will never fade.
    Peace, Comfort and Love
    Til we meet again
