Ryan W. Stewart

Born: 1/4/1991
Died: 3/11/2012

Ryan W. Stewart, age 21, of West Grove, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012.
Born in Wilmington on January 4, 1991, Ryan was a 2009 graduate of Avon Grove High School and would go on to attend Delaware Technical and Community College. He had been active in Cub Scouts during his childhood and later starred on the Kirkwood Soccer Club squad that won a highly-competitive state title cup.
A tremendously gifted musician, Ryan played drums in local bands for several years. Expressing himself through music was a talent he was proud to share with his father, William, who was one of his first and best music teachers. He especially cherished memories of time spent with his father and his family aboard the boat affectionately named for him and his brothers, “My III Sons.” He also loved to fish on the White Clay Creek. His goal was to attend school to become a professional boat mechanic and live on the water where he was at his happiest.
Ryan will be long remembered as a kind and compassionate young man whose generous nature and compassionate spirit endeared him to everyone he met. A true gentleman even at his young age, he will be sadly missed by his family and his many friends, all of whom loved him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his father, William S. Stewart, Jr.; maternal great grandparents, Freda Sosinski and Joseph Sosinski; maternal grandmother, Margaret Lasky; paternal grandparents, Pauline Stewart and William S. Stewart, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Donna Lasky Stewart of West Grove; brothers, Ian S. Stewart and Brendon J. Stewart, both of West Grove; aunts and uncles, Karen and Jeffrey Lasky, Richard Lasky, Charlene and David Traill, and Cathy Beers; cousins, Robert Nichols, Mark Nichols, Michael J. Lasky, and Collin D. Lasky; and his pet dog, Scooter.
A memorial prayer service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, March 16, 2012, at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, 300 State Road, West Grove, where visitation will begin at 9 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
