Mrs. Sarah Jane Reeves, beloved mother and grandmother, age 102, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at her home.
Mrs. Reeves was born in Indianapolis, IN on September 29, 1910, daughter of the late Samuel C. Mock and Ethel Kitterman Mock. She made her career as a professional secretary, retiring from the Colonial School District in 1977.
A devout Christian throughout her life, Mrs. Reeves was a longtime member of the New Castle Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the church’s Women’s Circle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Maryellen Wample of New Castle with whom she lived, Annabeth Williams of Powell, OH, and Ruth Hollars of West Grove, PA; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the New Castle Presbyterian Church, 25 E. 2nd Street, New Castle, DE 19720.
