Shirley M. Wilson

Shirley M. Wilson, age 89, passed away early on Thursday, October 25, 2018.

Born in Easton, MD, on August 5, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Vinal E. and Susie B. (Morrisette) Hills, Jr. She spent most of her life a resident of Wilmington, DE. She graduated from P.S. DuPont High School. Shirley married her husband, Don in 1947. Together they operated Don Wilson Auto Parts for over 60 years.

Shirley resided at Lodge Lane Assisted Living for the last two years where she stated she felt like a queen. She will surely be missed by the staff. A special thanks to, Jessica, Mary, Melissa and all of her friends who took such great care of her.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Wilson. Sr. and her son, Donald William “Buzz” Wilson, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Bertha, Beatrice, Lily and Alice. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Drumheller and son-in-law, Ronald Drumheller; two grandsons, Jeff & Greg; sister Suzanne Wright and husband Larry of Edmunds, Washington; and some nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held privately.
