Stanley J. “Stan” Gaskins, Jr., age 52, of Newark, DE, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on March 15, 1969, he was a son of Janice R. (Balascio) Gaskins of New Castle and the late Stanley J. Gaskins, Sr. Stan earned his associate’s degree in electronics and electrical engineering technology from Delaware Technical Community College. He made his career as an alarm technician for Safe Street. In his free time, Stan enjoyed billiards and woodworking. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and dog, Max.

In addition to his mother, Stan is survived by his brothers, Steve Gaskins and Al Gaskins (Holly Varady), both of Newark; nieces, Caitlyn Varady and Madelyn Gaskins; nephews, Nicholas Gaskins and Zachary Gaskins; and canine companion, Max.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 am until 10:30 am on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Face masks will be required for all in attendance. Service and interment will be held privately.          

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stan’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
