Stanley P. Shipkowski

Stanley P. Shipkowski, age 87, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020.

Born in Nanticoke, PA on March 7, 1933, he was the son of the late Edward and Louise (Budzinski) Shipkowski. Stanley proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He retired after a successful career as a Supervisor of Operations for Delta Airlines. Later, Stanley was the owner of Stan’s Appliance Service in New Castle.

A man of faith, Stanley was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, as well as a lector and eucharistic minister. He taught adult RCIA and helped put on plays for the Fine Arts Guild. Above all, he loved traveling with his wife and was an avid golfer.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Stanley Shipkowski, Jr.; and sister, Mary Nerozzi. He is survived by his wife, Louise M. (Raiewski) Shipkowski; children, Christopher Shipkowski of New Castle, Susan Sendall of Wilmington, Mary Beauchemin (Robert) of Bishopville, MD and John Shipkowski (Elva) of Rising Sun, MD; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

All services will be held privately.
