Steven V. Carbone

Steven V. Carbone, age 54, of Townsend, DE, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 16, 2013.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, on July 25, 1958, Mr. Carbone was the son of the late Pasquale Carbone and Rita Pellagrino Carbone. He proudly made his career with the US Army, retiring as a master sergeant after 26 years spent in the service of his country. He would go on to accept a position with the Boeing Company in Ridley Park, PA, where he was employed as a Chinook senior service engineer for the past twelve years.
An avid golfer, he was a member of the Odessa National Golf Club.
He is survived by his beloved wife of twelve years, Caron Carpenter Carbone; daughters, Lindsay A. Carbone and Lauren K. Carbone, both of Elkton; stepdaughter, Samantha N. Merritt of Townsend; sister, Maria Keating (John) of Mt. Laurel, NJ; father- and mother-in-law, Rev. Lawrence J. and JoEllen Carpenter of Camden; sisters-in-law, Jodi L. Gay of Middletown and Lori Morrow (Kevin) of Harrington; nephews, Christopher Keating and Kyle Morrow; niece, Danielle Gay; and pet dogs, Happy and Trixie.
Visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 noon on Friday, April 26, 2013, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle. A committal service will follow at 1 pm in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.
