Susan Douglas Steele Landau Storrer

Susan Douglas Steele Landau Storrer, age 63, of Newark, DE passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022.

Born in Nashville, TN on October 20, 1958, she was a daughter of Patricia Paty Steele and the late Robert Gaines Steele. Susan made her career as a bookkeeper for many years.

As a kid Susan played softball and was affectionately called “Ruggy Dougie”. Later in life she enjoyed quiet time and was an avid reader. Susan was very creative, she made candles, jewelry, and beautiful flower arrangements. She took these creations to many craft shows where she was very successful. Susan treasured her collection of wooden and ceramic boxes. A friend to the community, she loved children and helping people. Susan was committed to being a part of Alcoholics Anonymous, she ran a recovery house and was dedicated to helping those in recovery.

In addition to her father, Susan was preceded in death by her siblings, Amy Adair Steele, and Bryan Christopher Steele. She is survived by her mother, Patricia P. Steele of Newark; her sweetheart, Gary Landau of Pennsylvania; nephew, Douglas Michael Ray of Wilmington; and nieces, Cathrine Steele Ball, and Jennifer Steele McDonie both of West Virginia.

A memorial service for family and friends will be announced at a later date. Interment will be held privately in Head of Christiana Cemetery.
