Tanita Marie Taylor-Green, age 43, of Claymont, Delaware, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 at home of natural causes.
Born in Philadelphia, PA on November 28, 1976, she was a daughter of Gregory Taylor, Sr. and Marie Peterson. Tanita was the first-born child of seven siblings. She attended Cardinal O’Hara High School, and later graduated from Chester High School in 1994. In 1996, Tanita graduated from Gordan Phillips Beauty School, obtaining her Cosmetology license. She temporarily attended Ashford University in 2012, with studies centered around Criminal Behavioral Psychology.
Tanita worked for Little Paradise Day School intermittently for 14 years. While living in Texas, she worked at Teleperformance as a Health Insurance Representative. Tanita began working at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy in 2018 as a Pharmaceutical Representative where she remained until her passing.
Tanita met the late Brian Green, Sr. in 1994. To this union, their beautiful son Brian Green, Jr., affectionately known as Mooner, was born. Tanita and Brian were amazing parents who poured all the love they had into their son. They ensured he knew he was loved. Tanita had a generous heart and kind soul. She loved helping everyone. You knew that you could depend on her without complaint. She had an amazing sense of humor, contagious laugh, and loved shopping on Amazon. She loved spending time with her family, especially her son Mooner; he was her entire world. Tanita was very adventurous and loved trying new things. She enjoyed trips to the beach, the movies, reading, and spending time on the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ.
Tanita was preceded in death by her husband, Brian Green, Sr.; unborn daughter, Gianna; grandparents, John and Lillian Cummings and Harold and Ruth Taylor; stepfather, Elder Thomas Peterson; step mother, Cynthia Taylor; and step brother, Dorian Hollman.
Tanita leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and caring son, Brian Green, Jr. (Alyssa); mother, Marie Peterson; father, Gregory Taylor, Sr.; stepmother, Deanna Taylor; brother, Gregory Taylor, Jr.; sisters, Diaonne Taylor, Sheree Taylor, Sapphire Harris (Ben), Simone Taylor (Billy) and Laila Taylor; grandson, Jace; and her many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who affectionately called her “aunt Ne-Ne”, cousins and friends.
