Timothy “Tim” Sean Sammons
October 9, 1957 - April 20, 2018
Timothy Sean Sammons, affectionately known as Tim, age 60, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018.
Born in Wilmington, DE on October 9, 1957, he was a son of the late Roger and Theresa (Brown) Sammons. Tim made his career with New Castle County as a pumping station mechanic for almost 29 years.
In his leisure time, Tim enjoyed collecting classic rock CD’s, fishing and working in his vegetable garden. He was an avid Nascar and football fan. A true family man, Tim loved visiting and playing with his nieces. His three fur babies, Shadow, KC, and Kodi, were there to greet him in heaven.
In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his brothers, Ricky, Jerry and Tommy Sammons and sisters, Elaine Kozlowski and MaryAnn Mitchell. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Kathleen Elizabeth (Hayes) Sammons; step son, Jacob Redic; brother, Roger Sammons (Maxine); sisters, Kathleen Garcia (Thomas), and Patricia Pribish (James); brother in law, George Mitchell; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am until 12:30 pm on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 12:30 pm. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite animal shelter or charity or to the Mary Campbell Center, 4641 Weldin Road, Wilmington, DE 19803.

Kathy and family Tim’s passing is a sad thing for so so many of us that knew and worked with him. The times I had the opportunity to work with Tim I always had a good time! He was full of life and quick with his opinion of what was the cure for the problem. He will be missed!
