Mr. Timothy Wayne Dukes, Sr., age 35, of Newark, DE, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012.
A native Delawarean, Tim was born in Wilmington on April 10, 1976, and attended Newark High School. He was an auto mechanic by profession and had been employed with Carman Ford in New Castle in earlier years.
An avid sports fan throughout his life, Tim greatly enjoyed cheering for the Eagles and the Phillies. He often used his talents as a mechanic to rebuild older and antique model cars.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Lister Dukes. He is survived by his father, F. Wayne Dukes, Jr.; daughter, Brianna; sons, Timothy Wayne Jr., Zachary Wayne, and Robert Wayne; brothers, Thomas B. Dukes and Steven W. Dukes (Deborah); sisters, Deborah A. Schneider and Tina M. Law (George); his aunt and uncle who are also his godparents, Doris and Bill Marsilli; and his great aunt and great uncle, Meredith “Peaches” and Bill Higman.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, April 9, 2012, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, 19720, where visitation will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Timothy Wayne Dukes, Sr. Memorial Fund, c/o the funeral home.
