Vickers Norwood, Jr., age 87, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019.
Born in Maryland, on June 6, 1932, he was a son of the late Vickers Norwood, Sr. Vickers proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a serviceman for Delmarva, retiring after 35 dedicated years.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Carrie G. Norwood. Vickers is survived by his former daughter-in-law, Bernadette Holcomb (Rick Harvey); granddaughters, Amy and Jennifer Holcomb; and great grandchildren, Andre, Kristi, Arianna and Amir.
A committal service will be held at 11 am on Friday, September 20, 2019, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.

Carrie Geraldine Moore Holcomb Norwood is my biological grandmother. My mom is her daughter who was placed for adoption so the official legal records don’t list her as Carrie’s child. I have documented proof that she is my grandmother. Please someone contact me, I would like to know who my family is.
