Vincent Russo III, age 49, of Millsboro, DE, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017.

Born in Woodbury, NJ on August 29, 1967, Vinny was the son of Vincent Russo, Jr. and Helen E. (Atkinson) Russo. He proudly served his country as an 11- year veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, where he was a member of the 160th Engineer Company. A master electrician by trade for 32 years, Vinny worked as an electrician for the State of Delaware for 7 years.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hiking, and kayaking. Vinny was a motorcycle enthusiast who looked forward to riding his Harley. He adored spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, and cherished his many friendships, including those made with his fellow guard members. Vinny will be remembered as an extremely well-liked individual who was always willing to to help others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Vinny was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Russo, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Helen E. Russo of Newark; brother, Scott Russo of Mechanicsburg, PA; sister, Jennifer DiLuzio and her husband, Michael of Newark; nephews, Scott J. Russo, Jr. and Charles Bryant Russo; nieces, Madalin S. DiLuzio and Addison R. DiLuzio; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 W. Park Place, Newark, DE. Interment will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Vinny’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

  • I am very sorry for the loss of Vinnie. He was always happy and I enjoyed my time when we were kids in Four Seasons. So many pool memories! My prayers are with Helen, Scott, Jennifer, and all of their family. May God grant you peace in you time of need.
