6 Condolences for Walter S. “Walt” Mera, Sr.

  • Uncle Walter was such a joy to know! He was always special and had the coolest toys and gadgets. When I was 5 or 6, he gave me a little pink daisy alarm clock. We went to Sans Souci Park after it closed down with a metal detector and had so much fun. We went roller skating together, and when I moved to Delaware, he would bring me lunch once a week so I wouldn’t feel lonely. He was always a happy person with a great heart, and he will be missed. Love you Uncle Walter!

  • Condolences to the family. I always enjoyed working with Walt at Newark Assembly, he was friendly, humorous and a skilled electrician.

  • Condolences from the Ianozis – Jim, Regina, AJ, and Daniel. God bless your family – prayers for comfort and healing.

  • To Barbara and All of Walter’s family; our deepest and most sincere condolences during this moment in your lives. Walter was the first person in our neighborhood who welcomed me and Lori even before our children were born. Over the years this fellow Veteran taught me much about being a true neighbor. His and Barbara’s concern, kindness, honesty and help over the years has made our lives here in Rutherford all that we had hoped for and more . I will always miss my friend…

  • To Barbara and Walt’s family, I’m so sorry for your loss. Getting to know Walt was a privilege and I will sincerely miss his readiness to help, his willingness to share his knowledge, and most of all his personality and sense of humor.

  • Dear Walter .. I am so very sorry to hear of your father’s death .. he was such a sweetheart and always close to my heart mostly because of you! I was so sad to not be able to attend the event you had at CSC yesterday and would have been there – and excited to see you – had it not been for covid getting me first! Know that I loved your Dad and I so love you .. feet on my desk and all!
