Wanda F. Schreiber

July 5, 1951 - April 14, 2019

          Wanda F. Schreiber, age 67, of Milford, DE, formerly of New Castle, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019.

          Born in Baltimore, MD on July 5, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Irene (Morris) Fincham.  Wanda worked for various companies throughout the years in management and will always be remembered for her hardworking ethic and dedication.

          A keen eye for fashion, Wanda was an avid shopper and dressed for every occasion.  She enjoyed attending country music festivals with her family and friends.  Wanda’s fondest memories were made traveling and taking vacations with her family and friends.  She looked forward to holiday gatherings and preparing every meal from scratch.  You never left her table hungry.

          In addition to her mother, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Alex A. Schreiber; and siblings, David and Irene.  She is survived by her children, Jackie M. Greenley (Robert), Cathi S. McGuckin (Matt), Yale Schreiber (Cathy) and Paul I. Schreiber; siblings, Diane Kikola, Harvey Fincham, Lois Knopp and Peggy Kachnovitz; and grandchildren, Tyler Greenley, Cassandra Schreiber and Nicholas Schreiber.

          A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12 pm until 1 pm on Friday, April 19, 2019, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 1 pm.  Entombment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.

          In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Wanda’s memory to Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, Newark, DE 19711.

  • I am so very sorry for your family’s loss of Wanda. She was an extremely hard working person. Taking care of family. She was a good friend to me even though the years drifted us apart. I will never forget her voice or some of the crazy things that little ball of fire did. She wasn’t afraid of anyone … even though we talked rarely , I will miss her presence on earth.

    I will try to come to the funeral home but I just got out of the hospital with my 3rd case of Pneumonia in under 2 years . I have to go to the VA hospital at 1. Not sure I can cut it that close.

    I love all of you guys. Had a lot of fun with the Schreibers…

  • To an old friend and neighbor from Wilmington Manor.the one who was teaching me how to drive. I did it and got my licences. I am so sorry we lost touch over the years.
