Born June 18, 1950
William Carl Lyons, age 64, of East Minquadale, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 3, 2014, surrounded by his wife and loving family.
Bill was born in Wilmington, Delaware on June 18, 1950 and was a son of the late Orville Peter Lyons and Mary Anna (Roberts) Lyons. He was a true jack of all trades, holding various jobs as a mechanic, machinist, truck driver and steelworker with Lukens Steel.

He was an excellent father who adored spending time with his son and grandchildren, helping with their bicycles or simply enjoying their company. Bill was a passionate story teller who could often be heard recounting tales of his childhood or adventures as a young man traveling to Woodstock. He relished the outdoors and especially loved the Pocono Mountains.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers, Orville Andrew Lyons and Raymond Jack Lyons and a sister, Betty May Walker. He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Cheryl A. (Gordon) Lyons; son, Christopher Allen Lyons and wife, Felicia of New Castle; 2 grandchildren, Kira Bernice and Christopher Allen Lyons, Jr.; sister, Marie Ann Hurd; and several nieces and nephews.
