William H. Thomas, Jr., age 81, of Dover, DE, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021.
Born on May 7, 1939, he was the son of the late William H. and Elizabeth P. (Steele) Thomas. William made his career as a lab technician for DuPont. He enjoyed boating, fishing and yard work. William also took pleasure in fixing things around the house and watching TV, especially westerns.
William is survived by his devoted wife, Joanne (Sutton) Thomas; children, Bill Thomas III (Sue) of Middletown and Debbie Moxley of New Castle; sister, Anna Weaver of Apex, NC; grandchildren, Billy IV, Jennifer and James; and great grandchild, Billy V.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 am until 12 pm on Monday, March 29, 2021, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE, followed by a memorial service at 12 pm. Inurnment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE. Face masks will be required for all in attendance.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in William’s memory to Compassionate Care Hospice, 405 Marsh Lane, Suite 4, Newport, DE 19804.
