William J. Mason, Sr.

March 21, 1942 - January 31, 2018

William J. Mason, Sr, age 75, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.

Born in Wilmington on March 21, 1942, he was the son of the late Clyde and Ellen (Demel) Mason. Bill dedicated his career as an auto worker with General Motors and retired after several years.

Bill enjoyed traveling to Florida, especially to Disney World and Daytona Beach. He also loved to fish and relaxing in Ocean City, Maryland. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann Marie (Ruggerio) Mason. He is survived by his children, Dawn Moore (Brian) of Elkton and William Mason, Jr. (Kathy) of Newark; and grandchildren, Ryan, Michael and Brandi Moore, Louis and Joseph Mason.

A commital service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Ave, Wilmington, DE 19805.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s honor to American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way #205, New Castle, DE 19720.
