William K. Cantara
Mr. William K. “Bill” Cantara, age 58, of Levittown, PA, formerly of Bear, DE, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2011.
Born in San Diego, CA, on November 6, 1953, Mr. Cantara was the son of the late William H. Cantara and Doris Jones Cantara. He made his career as a senior resource technician with GE Betz (formerly Hercules).
An avid outdoorsman throughout his life, Mr. Cantara particularly enjoyed hiking and scuba diving. He was a devoted family man above all else and delighted in spending time with his wife, sons, and beloved extended family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Sally A. Franklin Cantara; sons, Mark Cantara of Washington State, Mac Cantara and Phoenix Cantara, both of Levittown, PA; siblings, Arthur Cantara (Sharon) of Glasgow, DE, Marie Brown of North East, MD, Kathleen Cantara of Newbury, NH, Harvey Cantara (Kathy) of Elkton, MD, and Caroline Craner (William) of Newark, DE; grandchild, Hayden Cantara; sister-in-law, Sharon Bandekow (Leigh) of Newark; brother-in-law, Stephen Franklin (Donna) of New Smyrna Beach, FL; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nora Cantara.
A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, November 27, 2011, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where visitation will begin at 1 pm.
