Winiferd N. Ratasiewicz

Winiferd N. Kalata Ratasiewicz, age 49, of Elkton, MD passed away peacefully on Friday, August 3, 2012, at home.
Born in Pascagoula, MS on October 16, 1962, Winiferd was the daughter of the late Emil F. Kalata and Arlene A. Blanchard Kalata. She was employed as a mail sorter with the US Postal Service, and retired after 23 years of dedicated service.
In her leisure time, Winiferd enjoyed gardening, crafting, and traveling. Above all else, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Winiferd is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Ronald W. Ratasiewicz; daughters, Jessica A. Ratasiewicz of Elkton, MD and Ashley L. Ratasiewicz of Newark; brother, Steve Kalata of Richmond, VA; and grandson, Christian D. Johnston of Elkton.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, where friends may call beginning at 10 am. Interment will be private.
