Mary K. Kathy Tyrrell, age 62, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 22, 2015.

A native Delawarean, Kathy was born in Wilmington on April 7, 1953, and was a daughter of the late Joseph H. Davis, Sr. and Mary K. (Wipf) Woods.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Peter Tyrrell; daughter, Tara E. Mathena (Dino) of New Castle, DE; brother, Joseph H. Davis, Jr.; granddaughter, Natalie R. Mathena; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Sunday evening, November 29, 2015 at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE. Services and interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life of Newark, 92 Read’s Way, Ste. 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
