Anne P. Thomas, age 62 of Middletown, DE, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021.
Born in Pearisburg, VA on December 31, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Jacqueline (Benoit) Provost. Anne worked as a piano instructor for Christ the Teacher Catholic Church. She loved the students she taught.
She was an avid reader who was actively involved with her church at Holy Family R.C. Church and later with St. Joseph’s Parish. Most of all, Anne loved spending time with her family.
Anne is survived by her husband, John Thomas; daughter, Jillian Patterson (Theodore) of Rising Sun, MD; son, Nathan Thomas (Aniek) of Murray, UT; brother, Paul Provost (Theia) of Eagle Rock, VA; sister, Denise Lyons of Newark; and grandchildren, Genevieve, John Ross, August, Winnie, and Isabelle.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Parish, 371 East Main Street, Middletown, DE. Face coverings will be required for all those in attendance not immunized with the COVID-19 vaccine per the Governor of Delaware. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne’s memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Delaware Chapter, 100 W. 10th Street, Ste. 209, Wilmington, DE 19801.
