Roger Dale Billings, Sr.
December 5, 1960 - January 14, 2026
Roger Dale Billings, Sr., age 65, of New Castle, DE, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
Born in Wilmington, DE on December 5, 1960, he was a son of the late Arbra and Doris (Webb) Billings. Roger worked for many years as a plant operator with Foster Wheeler, where he was known for his strong work ethic and mechanical skill. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
In his free time, Roger found joy in fishing, hunting, camping, off roading, and he loved working on vehicles. A self-taught master mechanic, he had a remarkable ability to fix, build, and understand machines. Roger especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them all he knew about cars.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his siblings, Bernice, Arbra, Jr. and Richard Billings. He is survived by his children, Roger Billings, Jr. (Ashlie) of New Castle, DE and Krystal Billings (Jon) of VA; 7 grandchildren, Olivia, Mystery, Shaun, Sasuke, Zorii, Sayuri, and Joseph Thomas “J.T”; sisters, Nancy Bailey of NC and Doris Klein of MD; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 12:30 pm. A committal service will follow in the chapel of Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
