Diane Lynda DeStafney

Diane Lynda DeStafney, age 80, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
Born in Wilmington, DE on September 6, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Gunner and Beatrice (Cole) Nelson. Lynda enjoyed working as a teacher’s aide at Caravel Academy. She spent many happy hours camping and fishing with her husband.
In addition to her parents, Lynda was preceded in death by her husband, Louis F. DeStafney, Jr. She is survived by her children, Charles J. DeStafney and Jason E. DeStafney.
All service will be held privately.
