Eric Kevin Giblin, age 39, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
Born in Heerlen, Netherlands, on November 25, 1986, he was a son of Scott A. Giblin and Karen (Ham) Nunez. Eric worked as a laborer in the construction industry. He enjoyed traveling and camping and studied karate for many years. He was also a proud Boy Scout, who valued service and helping others. Eric’s adventurous spirit, kindness, and willingness to lend a helping hand will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl “Pops” Ham, Anita D. Giblin, and Frances J. Giblin; and uncle, Jim Dawson (JD). He is survived by his parents, Scott A. Giblin (Deanna) and Karen Nunez (Armando); siblings, Scott and Shaun Giblin, Cassidy Hill, Dennis Tonna and Armando and Alberto Nunez (Stephanie); grandmother, Berdia “Granny” Ham; aunts and uncles, Carla Ham, Ricky Ham (Johann), John Ham (Chris), Christie Ham (Samuel Ames), Jim Giblin (Carla), Marty Giblin, and Brian Giblin (Kelly); 6 cousins and 6 first cousins once removed; 1 nephew; and 1 niece.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 pm until 4 pm on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 4 pm. Interment will be held privately.
