Veronica A. “Roni” Griffith, age 68, of New Castle, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
Born in Wilmington, DE on August 30, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Clarence C. and Geraldine (Grabowski) Griffith, Sr. Roni worked as a cashier at Rite Aid in New Castle.
Roni could often be found watching game shows. She was an avid shopper, spending her free time searching for her next treasure.
In addition to her parents, Roni was preceded in death by her partner, John Hensley, II; brother, Skip Griffith; and nephew, Scott Orr. She is survived by her sons, Tyler Hensley and Chandler Hensley; stepchildren, Destiny Hensley and John Hensley III (Sarah); sister, Lisa Orr (Dave); grand dog, Milo; and many nieces and nephews.
All services will be held privately.

She Never forget about my brother Harry who was taken from us long ago. I am so glad that I got to visit her that day in the hospital. She looked really good and was getting ready to go back home.
