Kenneth “Ken” Paul Jovin

Kenneth “Ken” Paul Jovin (90) passed away on September 25, 2026, in Newark, Delaware.

Born in Bangor, Maine to George Henry Jovin, Sr. and Maude Louise Nickerson Jovin, he graduated from Hartford Public High School in Hartford, Connecticut. Ken served in the United States Air National Guard and had a long career with Pratt & Whitney. He also served one term on the Berlin, Connecticut town council from 1999-2001.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, his first wife, Patricia, his second wife, Beatrice Desper, and his son, Kenneth “Kip” P. Jovin, Jr.

He is survived by his son, Ron Jovin; his granddaughter, Mayumi Jovin; his stepchildren, Elizabeth Gohr (Eric), Beatrice Desper Banabila (Issam), John Desper, Richard Desper, and Scott Desper; and his step-grandson, William Gohr.

Ken enjoyed traveling, motorcycling, caring for his cats and dogs and volunteering with charitable cat rescue organizations.

Mr. Jovin will be buried in Norwell, Massachusetts.
