Sara Maureen Golden Frederick

Sara Maureen Golden Frederick, age 76, of Newark, DE, and formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

Born in Chestertown, MD, on August 17, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Reverend Arley B. and Sarah (Houston) Golden. Maureen earned her degree in English from the University of Delaware. She made her career as a court administrator with the Superior Court of Delaware for over 30 years.

Maureen enjoyed spending her free time at her home in Dewey Beach. She also loved traveling, especially trips to Ireland and France.

In addition to her parents, Maureen was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Frederick. She is survived by her brothers, Michael Golden (Susan) and Mark Golden (Holly); stepchildren, Amy Frederick, Morgan Hendricks, and Clayton Frederick; brothers-in-law, Steve and John Frederick, sisters-in-law, Terri Webb and Gina Hamilton; cousins, Cathy and Jim Parker; and nephew, Peter Golden.

All services will be held privately.
