Adele L. Alfree

Adele L. Alfree, age 61, of Clayton, DE passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2013 at her home.
Born in Milford, DE, on June 7, 1952 Adele was the daughter of the late George D. Pace and Adela Alberta Novakowski Pace. She was a talented and dedicated homemaker.
Adele was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who adored being with her family. She loved the outdoors and relished time spent gardening and observing wildlife, especially birds. Adele was an excellent cook, who delighted in preparing delicious meals for her family. In her leisure time, she was an avid crafter and enjoyed adding to her collection of Native American items. Adele held a special place in her heart for her pets, especially her faithful feline companion, Kitters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Donny Curlett, Jr. She is survived by her beloved husband, William C. Alfree; sons, John D. Curlett, Weston Curlett, and Duane Curlett and his wife, Mary; stepson, William C. Alfee, Jr; sister, Gale N. Nix; 8 grandchildren; and many additional friends and family members.
A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, October 18, 2013, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 214 Clinton Street, Delaware City, DE, where friends may call from 11 am until 12 Noon. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Adele’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.

I will miss her dearly,she was like a 2nd mother to me and even tho we had our ups and downs she always seem to care for me no matter the circumstances…I will miss her very much but I am thankful that I got to know such a WONDERFUL person as she was! <3

I will miss her very much she was my friend and my sister. We were very close. She wanted my name in the obituary as her sister. She might be gone but she will not be forgotten. We did a lot together and been thought a lot together. We had our up and downs but still did for each other. I am glad that I met Della she was a very caring person and did anything she could for you. I am glad and thankful that I knew a wonderful person she was and a caring person,
