Tim was a great man of faith who was caring to the community. He loved his family. Tim will be missed by many. He and Lois spent time together in their garden growing their favorite vegetables while enhancing the eco system with sunflowers and many other flowers and plants. I will miss enjoying Rueben sandwiches with Tim and biblical conversations. He had such a depth of knowledge. God bless Tim and we will see each other again.

  • Dear Br. Tim and Sr. Lois – for I can only think of them together, as a couple, whose lives were fully occupied with doing good unto others. Br Tim with his gentle kindness, Sr Lois with her cheeful efficiency – what a great team for sharing God’s love with all whose lives they touched. From raising godly young men to gently caring for the elderly, they shared their love for God and His word through their actions. I know this is a hard time for all of you, though you rejoice through your tears for a race well run. The past 18 months have been physically hard – but oh how faithful you have been. What a great example to the rest of us. May God give you all strength for each day, courage and wisdom to carry on his legacy, and the peace that comes from knowing that God’s ways are always best.

  • Sending love and prayers to you Sue and Steve and to all the Armstrong family. I’m so very sorry for your loss. I know how much you have loved and cared for your brother.

  • “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hopes the Lord is…” Lam 3:26 This scripture is a reflection of Tim.
Our Br Tim will be forever etched in the memory of our heart as a true soldier of the cross, pastor of the flock and fellow-servant in Christ Jesus. His beautiful smile and upbeat manner coupled with a sympathetic heart that often shed a sympathetic tear was a mark of his character. Our love goes to our dear Lois and the family, praying the Lord will sustain you in the days ahead as you try to negotiate the waters of life without the strong leadership of your husband, father, brother and friend. Much love, Michael and Diane Lucas

  • My condolences to the entire Armstrong family. Tim and you Lois, were very inspirational to my family in many ways for a lot of years. When disaster struck, the Armstrong family was always there to aide comfort. There are many fond memories of our meeting outside and discussing the latest in family events. Tim always had a happy heart, and was able to express the love that he had for everything in life. The talks we had, would always bring a feeling of comfort, knowing that he really cared and was interested in what anyone was dealing with at the time. He was certainly a person that was sent to us to spread the word and works of God!

  • To Lois, your family and friends. Tim was my classmate at William Penn High School, Class of 1958. So many memories since graduation, 67 years ago. Our monthly lunch crowd has shared many prayers for Tim.

May our heavenly Father bless his family, may they find comfort in his precious promises. “We do not mourn as those without hope” – 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

  • We have been friends since High School at William Penn. I cherish the time we had over the years. Our faith in the Lord carries us thru Tim’s passing. We grieve his passing and celebrate his homecoming with the Lord. Our prayers are for you and the boys and their families.

  • Timmy and I go way back in time( I lived on Yale Ave he lived on University Ave in dear old
Wilmington Manor Gardens) We both went to WPHS but different grades. Lois, I was shocked to hear of his passing He was always a nice person and sort of quiet, he always gave his very best in sports, I know this for myself. May he rest in peace now and I know how much you will miss him. God called Timmy to Heaven so he no longer would be worried about things here in this crazy world anymore and Timmy would never be in discomfort again. Jimmy I will miss you. God Bless Lois and Your Family – Gail Dougherty/ Wilmington, Delaware
