Alice May Bush

May 18, 1940 - March 14, 2024

Alice May Bush, age 83, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

Born in Wilmington, DE, on May 18, 1940, she was a daughter of the late William James and Ida Mary (Green) Rawlins. Alice attended William Penn High School and worked a multitude of jobs thereafter. Alice found pure enjoyment in tending to her flower garden and doing yardwork; her yard was her paradise. Her love for the outdoors also included bird watching on a beautiful day, soaking up the sun, tanning on the beach, camping, traveling, or swimming. When she wasn’t outside, Alice took pleasure in reading books and watching her favorite show, The Bachelor.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred “Bud” Bush; daughters, Debra Ann Bush and Diane L. Krygier, and brother, Wilford “Bill” Rawlins. She is survived by her children, Dawn E. Yilmaz (Mahmut) and Bud W. Bush (Shea); sister, Irene Jones (Don); son-in-law, Roger Krygier; grandchildren, Tarra, Tonya, Tammy, Tina, Taylor, Charlotte, Layla, Bud, Jr. and Yasin; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and boyfriend of 16 years, Chuck Cordrey
