Andrew Michael “Andy” Geiger, age 55, of Newark, DE, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

Born in Wilmington, DE on November 18, 1968, he was a son of the late Robert Lee Geiger and Linda (Wagner) Taylor. Andy made his career as an engineer at DuPont Co., where he worked for over 20 years. He also worked at Blue Hen Physical Therapy for several years.

Andy was raised in Newark where he spent most of his life. He graduated from Newark High School in 1987 as valedictorian. He continued his education at the University of Delaware, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in 1992. Andy had a passion for sports. He was an avid golfer and was a lifelong Indianapolis Colts and New York Yankees fan. Andy loved to spend his free time golfing, traveling to new places, and spending time with friends and family. Every year, he looked forward to his annual family summer vacation at Bethany Beach. A man of faith, Andy served his community through active involvement with The Journey Church and Alcoholics Anonymous.

Andy will be remembered as a loving and devoted father, brother, fiancé, and uncle. Andy is survived by his daughters, Madeleine Geiger and Liliana Geiger; fiancé, Melissa Holden; brothers, Chris Geiger and Stephen Geiger (Connie); and nieces, Elaina Geiger and Shelby Geiger.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 pm until 4 pm on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE. Services and inurnment will be held privately.

  • I am writing this now in some what of a disbelief, Andy was my friend and I will miss him dearly , in a very short time we be came good friends and our talks were deep and very telling of each other meaning him and I felt a lot a like , rest easy my friend until me meet again🙏🙏🙏
