Angelo Alfonso “Titi” Rivera

Angelo Alfonso “Titi” Rivera, age 86, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
Born in San German, Puerto Rico on August 15, 1940, he was a son of the late Angel Alfonso and Teresa (Sanchez) Rivera.
Angelo enjoyed going to Delaware Park to watch the live horse races and play the slots. Angelo loved to Bowl, watch his wrestling, play cards and dominoes.
In addition to his parents, Titi was preceded in death by his brothers, Luis, Anibal, Willy, and Louie; sister, Anna; and Joyce’s son, Brian. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Joyce Bates Rivera; daughter, Diane Rivera Bennett; ex-wife, Dalila Rivera; grandchildren, Britni, Jimmie, Payton and Nadia; great grandchildren, Sophia, Angelina, Colton, Gabriel, Giovanni and Raina; sisters, Hilda, Carmen, Elsie and Jeannie; brother, Sammy; and Joyce’s son, Michael.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Thursday, September 10, 2026, on Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am. Inurnment will be held privately.
