Ann Beverly “Bev” Morris

Ann Beverly “Bev” Morris, age 79, of Dover, DE, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

A native Delawarean, Bev was born in Wilmington, DE, on April 29, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Rita (Ferguson) Windish.

Bev was a graduate of William Penn High School. She and her husband, Ray, owned and operated Morris Oil Company for many years.

Family was very important to Bev whether it was visiting various beaches or coming together to spend Saturdays and holidays with each other. She had a special place in her heart for animals and always had cats and dogs.

In addition to her parents, Bev was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Raymond G. Morris. She is survived by her children, Karen Skreenock (Paul) and Steven Morris (Jennifer); and grandchildren, Heather Valenti, Amy Cathell (Matt) and Tommy Skreenock.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.

  • My sister Beverly was the first girl in my life besides my mother and the most respected woman in my life besides my wife. We grew up together and I’ve loved her for all of the seventy-nine years we have walked the earth together. I shall miss her greatly.
