Anthony F. “Ant” Del Duca, age 33, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 27, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Suffern, NY, on December 7, 1984, he was a son of Robert Del Duca and Joyce (Holt) Del Duca. Ant spent his career as a superintendent with Tri-State Underground. Outside of his immeasurable dedication to his work, Anthony only wanted to have peaceful moments relaxing at home with his wife Nikki. Together they cherished taking long drives nearly every weekend listening to their favorite music. But no matter what music they listened to, although mostly metal, they called it “Metal Saturday”.

He is survived by wife, Nicole Del Duca; parents, Robert Del Duca (Lee) and Joyce Del Duca (Kevin Mihok); mother-in-law, Karen Freebery (Steve); father-in-law, Jack Manerchia (Lisa); brothers, Christopher Del Duca, Michael Del Duca, Edmund Fontana (Stephanie and their son Mason) and Joseph Fontana (his daughter, Gianna); brother-in-laws, Michael Manerchia (Michelle and their children, Sophia and Phillip), Tyler Freebery and Adam Manerchia (Kristie); and grandparent-in-laws, Claire Manerchia, Walt and Tery Garecht and Steve and Diane Freebery.

A gathering for family and friends will be held from 2 pm until 4 pm on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a Celebration of Life will begin at 4 pm. Interment will be held privately.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ant’s boss, Richard Hess for all he has done for Anthony during his illness.

  • I will never forgot when we were little and all 5 of us cousins were inseparable. We would have sleepovers for days, swim all night, Bbq all the time,play all “boy” games in your side playroom in the house and much much more. Anthony, Christopher and Michael taught me how to be tough. It was always three boys and two girls, ( me and my sister Rose) but we always managed to have fun! Anthony you will be so so missed.   • So it’s is 1/8/20 and I just learned of your tremendous loss Robert from Alice several weeks ago. I did not know him nor have I seen you in nearly 40 years but my heart breaks for you and I extend my heartfelt sympathies with prayer that you will be able to move forward.
