 Anthony Mark Williamson, age 60, of Newark, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on December 13, 1960, he was a son of the late Andrew and Anna (Chiappini) Williamson. Anthony proudly served in the United States Army. After his service, he made a career as an operations manager for Sprint. In his spare time, Anthony enjoyed completing home renovation projects. Over the years, he rescued poodles, whom he adored. Anthony always loved to entertain family and friends especially during football season when the Philadelphia Eagles were playing. Anthony was a wonderful cook, and could always be found listening to classic rock. He enjoyed traveling to Charleston, South Carolina. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and legendary practical jokes. Above all else, Anthony loved his family and time spent with them.

In addition to his parents, Anthony is preceded in death by his wife, Laura Genito. He is survived by his son, Anthony D. “Tony” Williamson (Heather) of Raleigh, NC; daughter Ashley N. Williamson of Newark; step-son, Victor “Vic” Genito of Houston, TX; granddaughter, Elise S. Williamson; siblings, Jennifer Duca (Wayne) of Newark; Andrew A. Williamson (Janine) of St. Petersburg, FL, Cynthia A. Lippencott (Lou) of Forest Hill, MD; former wife, Christine A. Williamson of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.

All services will be held privately.
