Apostle Dr. Hattie L. Fields

Apostle Dr. Hattie L. Fields, age 81, of Newark, DE, formerly of Vineland, NJ, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 comforted by family.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 22, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Arthur H. and Beatrice E. (Vidal) Fields. She attended the Philadelphia Public School System. Apostle graduated from the Soul Saving Station Bible Institute of Absecon, NJ under Dr. Jameson of Philadelphia, PA.; served for over 20 years as a teacher for Mission Teens Inc. in Norma, NJ and received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Philosophy from the City of Hope Bible College, Atlantic City, NJ under Dr. Kenneth Applegate.

Having plateaued from humble beginnings in Faith Outreach Ministries under the leadership and teaching of the late Pastor Sarah E. Jacocks, Apostle Fields, followed her calling as Founder/Overseer of Horns Ablaze Ministries International, Inc. located in Vineland, NJ. A Ministry that reaches six of the seven Continents such as Israel, Tanzania, Romania, Ghana, Liberia, Rwanda, Jamaica, and Cuba.

Having answered the call in the Five-Fold Ministry of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher, she served earnestly in her local community, throughout the US, as well as international outreach. For over 10 years God sent her to the Ancora Psychiatric Hospital in Hammonton, NJ to minister. She co-founded the Christian Counseling Center where she spent 11 years providing biblical counseling and outreach services. She served as the Director of the Christian Women Fellowship, hosting annual retreats and conferences for over 42 years.

Her training and experience for effective ministry also included the radio ministry with several outlets around the United States including Camden, NJ, Alabama and Norfolk, VA. For over 37 years she spearheaded and partnered with the Outreach Ministry of Englewood, NJ.

Apostle had been a member of the Full Gospel Fellowship of Ministries and Churches International, Inc. for 43 years; IPG-Intercessory Prayer Groups and supported Foreign Missions in Haiti, Jamaica, London, Thailand, West Indies and Africa; over 32 years of revivals, street and tent meetings in North/South Jersey, Camden, NJ and Philadelphia, PA., Founder and Overseer of Prophetic Covenant Fellowship of Church and Ministries.

As Pastor, under her leadership several outreach ministries were established …Youth of the Century, Children in Crises; Men of Valor, Worship and Healing Workshops; Community and Family Life Outreach; Christian in Recovery; Personal and Professional Enrichment Programs; Educational Development Resources; Life Empowerment Center; Food and Clothing pantry; Teaching and Counseling Workshops. Tea time With Jesus, Holiday drives to feed and provide as needed during Back-to-School, Thanksgiving, Christmas etc.

Apostle was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur H. and Beatrice E. (Vidal) Fields; and siblings, Lillian Wallace, James Brittingham Sr, Evelyn Maddrey, Charles Brittingham Sr., Henretta Brittingham, Audrey Claudio, Priscilla Gilbert, Iseral Fields, Arthur H. Fields Jr., Edward Fields Sr. and John Fields. She is survived by her aunt, Bernice White; brother, Lawrence L. Fields Sr.; her one and only cherished daughter, RoxAnne B. Fields; a host of nieces and nephews; family and friends; acquaintances and associates; and an overwhelming number of Horns Ablaze Members, Ministries and Missionaries who have united and partnered with her in God’s Service.

A memorial service in celebration of the life and legacy of Apostle Dr. Hattie L. Fields will be held from 12 pm until 3:30 pm on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Chestnut Assembly God, 2554 E Chestnut Ave, Vineland, NJ, followed by a private reception.
