Audrey C. Johnson

Audrey C. Johnson, age 78, of Newark, DE, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on April 17, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Elmyra (Davidge) Coombs. Audrey was a graduate of St. Elizabeth’s High School with the class of 1964. She started her career as a secretary at DuPont Co. and became an intellectual property patent coordinator. She retired in 2004 after 50 years of service.
Audrey often looked forward to vacations at the beach, especially to the Outer Banks. She also loved dancing, playing games and most of all, cherished the time she spent with her family.
In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, John Elasic; and siblings, Michael Coombs and Christopher Coombs. She is survived by her children, Raymond R. Johnson II (Alexandra) and Sherry J. Stiles (Robert II); siblings, Andrea Soliday (Dennis), Deborah Elasic, and Teresa Attarian (Dennis); and grandchildren, Robert Stiles, Zachary Stiles, and Conor Johnson.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
