Barbara A. Williams
January 30, 1941 - April 4, 2024
Barbara A. Williams, 83, of Middletown, DE, formerly of Northfield, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
Born on January 30, 1941, in Camden, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Clara M. Raube. After graduating from Atlantic City High School in 1958, Barbara worked at the Atlantic City Electric company before marrying Fred and starting their family.
Barbara found joy in experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and took pride in maintaining a tidy home for unexpected visitors. She was a dedicated member of a bowling team, a weekly activity she shared with Fred. She cherished moments playing games like Chicken Feet and Yahtzee. However, above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Frederick D. Williams III. She is survived by her children, Diane Gehlhaus, Frederick D. Williams IV (wife Rebecca), and Anthony Williams (wife Angela); along with her six grandchildren, Jenna, Taylor, Anthony Jr. (wife Brittany), Zoe, Elena, and Sophia. Barbara also leaves behind two cherished great-grandchildren, Aurora and Lydia, the children of Anthony and Brittany, whom she held dear to her heart.
A memorial service will begin at 11 am on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Connection Community Church, 4744 Summit Bridge Road, Middletown, DE.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to Bayada Hospice, 4250 Lancaster Pike, Suite 308, Wilmington, DE 19805 or online by clicking here.
