I miss you, Barbara. So much! Such a loving, kind, and generous soul. You took me and my sister’s into your heart and treated us like family. Even made cakes for our weddings, many years later!
I remember licking the frosting out of your mixing bowls. Nobody made cakes and frosting like you! You were so talented! All those hilarious card games we played! Eating pretzels & ice cream! I remember the dinners… how you always had something on the table for everyone. Olives for me! Candied yams for my sister. Bread rolls for my brother. ☺️ The prank calls you let us make from your phone, before caller ID! 🤣
I remember the broadway production we made, whenever it was time to go home, singing at the top of our lungs, “Goodnight! Goodnight! Goodnight! It’s time to say Goodnight!” I am so glad I was able to bring my boys to meet you that one time, and of course, you spoiled them like you always spoiled me and my siblings! You had such a big heart! I remember you telling us you would get to heaven, even if it was on the tail of a kite! I have no doubt you made it there and that you joined a chorus of angles right off the bat! Best grandma I ever had, even though we weren’t related! I sure look forward to a big hug from you again someday! Keep singing Barbara! I love you!
