Benjamin “Benny” Kalinowski

January 22, 1965 - July 28, 2022

Benjamin Kalinowski, affectionately known as “Benny,” age 57, of Port Penn, DE, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022.

Born in Wilmington on January 22, 1965, he was a son of the late Alexander Francis and Ruth Ann (Hufnal) Kalinowski, Sr. Benny made his career as a driver with Marty’s Contracting for 19 years.

He loved the outdoors, especially fishing at Augustine Beach and working outside in his garden. In his leisure time, Benny enjoyed building things, including Legos and listening to country music. Above all else, he cherished the time spent with his family, friends, dogs and ducks, whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa M. (Montruchio) Kalinowski; children, Tiffany DuBois (Michael, Sr.) and Brandon Kalinowski; step children, Justin, Lindsay and Courtnay Montruchio; brothers, Alex, Jr., Leonard, Teddy and Chris Kalinowski; and 6 grandchildren.

Services and interment will be held privately.
