Benson B. “Mickey” Hoover

Benson B. “Mickey” Hoover, age 76, of Newark, DE, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023.
Born in Pennsylvania, on September 4, 1947, he was the son of the late Benson H. and Helen (Stamm) Hoover. Mickey earned his Bachelor’s degree from Widener University and later earned his Master’s degree from Temple University. He made his career as a project superintendent at Bancroft Construction until his retirement. Mickey’s most cherished moments were the memories he made with his family.
In addition to his parents, Mickey was preceded in death by his son, Michael Hoover. He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Kathleen M. (Lake) Hoover; children, Ryan Hoover and Maureen Curry (Gregg); siblings, Janet Hohnholt and Lori Hoover; stepchildren, Daniel Schrass (Betsy) and Michael Schrass; and grandchildren, Declan, Colin, Paige, Callum, and Tobin.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately in Lawncroft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.

I worked with Ben on many residential building projects in the 1990’s and into the mid 2000’s,he was very knowledgeable and just a great guy, I recently tried to get in touch with him and just found out about his passing, my condolences to the family.
