Betty E. Barrett, age 71, of Delaware City, DE, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024.

Born in Wilmington, DE on August 25, 1953, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Doris E. (Goodwin) Tranthum. Betty worked as a manager at the Valero Gas Station in Delaware City.

In her spare time, Betty loved fishing and riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle with her husband. She took great delight in cooking a delicious meal for her loved ones. A friend to the community, Betty enjoyed running the Food Bank in Delaware City and was always looking for ways to help others. She also looked forward to participating in the local Turkey Shoot. Above all, Betty loved spending time with her family.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, William and Doris Tranthum. She is survived by her loving husband, Zarro B. Barrett.

A graveside service will be held privately in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
