Betty Jo (Kesterson) Abner, age 88 of Kingston, TN, formerly Elkton, MD and Newark, DE entered Heaven’s gates on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN, joining her loving husband of 63 years, William ‘Ralph’ Abner.

The family would like to thank Brookdale/White Chapel Memory Care (Newark, DE) and Brookdale Assisted Living Kingston, TN for their love and care Betty Jo received for 3 years.  Brookdale Senior Living/Kingston allowed Betty Jo to regaining her vitality and a provided her a beautiful time to bloom with friends.  She was active in playing cards nightly, jigsaw puzzles, Word Searches and Bingo.  She lead a full-life attending church services & exercise.  Her last years were surrounded by love and hugs from the wonderful CNA’s/Brookdale Staff and feeling safe with family in East TN.  Favorite times were lunch or dinner out with Bob & Gail, attending concerts and drives to the mountains.  She earned her wings taking her ‘first beautiful flight’ into the arms of love.
