Beverly A. McClure

December 3, 1958 - April 5, 2020

Beverly A. McClure, age 61, of New Castle, DE, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020.

Born in Lewes, DE on December 3, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Florence (O’Donnell) Palmer. Beverly was a loving homemaker for her family. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and plants in her spare time. During the summer, she could often be found at her pop pop’s beach house. Christmas was her favorite time of year, making sure there were plenty of presents for all of the children. Beverly also collected antiques and loved listening to music. Most of all, she loved her family and cherished time spent with them.

Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jerry McClure; children, Jerry McClure, Jr. (Gina), Michelle McClure and Christopher McClure; siblings, Frances Field, Susan Shattuck and Sharon Thompson; and grandchildren, Josie McClure and Tristan McClure.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, interment will be held privately, and a service will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beverly’s memory to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 600 South Street, New Castle, DE 19720.
