Beverly Ann “Bev” Kovalcik

Beverly Ann “Bev” Kovalcik, age 64, of Smyrna, DE, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

​Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 23, 1960, she was a daughter of the late Robert N. and Theresa R. (Winter) Day.

Bev graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1978, and in 1979, she married her lifelong soulmate, William J. Kovalcik, whom she met at the age of 15. Together, they built a loving home and raised a beautiful family.

Bev cherished her role as a homemaker, dedicating herself to taking care of her family and their home. She found great joy in spending time with her loved ones, particularly her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

A woman of great compassion and dedication, Bev was an active member of the Bon Ayre Club and the Good Time Ladies, where she helped make blankets for newborns at Bayhealth. Her selflessness and loving spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Bev was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer A. Kovalcik; and her two wonderful pups, Emmy and Ella. She is survived by her devoted husband, William; son, Will C. Kovalcik (Ana); grandchildren, William F., Lyla, and Mason Kovalcik, and Austin Nicholas; and siblings, Robert, Dee, Rick, and Lisa Day; and her pups, Maggie and Bella.
