Beverly Bernice Miko

August 25, 1963 - May 31, 2025

Beverly Bernice Miko, age 61, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

Born in Wilmington, DE on August 25, 1963, she was a daughter of Louenette (Evans) Hughes and the late Theodore Hughes. Beverly made her career at Wilmington Trust for over 15 years. She later began working in billing at Eye Physicians and Surgeons for 10 years.

Beverly looked forward to the summer months every year to relax on the beach or go boating. She also loved going camping with her family. Beverly spent baseball season cheering on her beloved Philadelphia Phillies, and football season rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. She was happiest when she got to love on her sons’ dogs, Marla, Joker, and Rebi. Most of all, Beverly loved her sons, Chris and Bill, and cherished the time she spent with them. She will always be remembered for her kind heart and caring nature; she always made everyone feel important even when she didn’t feel her best.

In addition to her father, Beverly was preceded in death by her son, William Miko; and siblings, Virginia Foskey and Larry Hughes. She is survived by her son, Christopher Miko; fiancé, Dave Birchard; mother, Louenette Hughes; brother, George Hughes (Debbie); and half-brother, Tommy Butler (Marilyn).

All services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beverly’s memory to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 290 Churchmans Road, New Castle, DE 19720 or online by clicking here.
