Bonnie L. Callahan, age 78, of Middletown, DE, passed away on Friday, May 9th, 2025.

Born in Chester, PA on June 6, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Herman C. and Elaine J. (Murphy) Pierce.

Bonnie was an avid Rummy card player and enjoyed listening to audio books. Her favorite sweet treat was ice cream and she loved to go dancing. A strong woman of faith, Bonnie treasured quality time with her family. Family meant the most to her and spoiling her grandchildren was what brought her the most joy.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alvin L. Callahan; sister, Elaine L. Bailey; and brother-in-law, Alex Drummond. She is survived by her wonderful children, Brian L. Callahan, Tammy L. Ruhl (Charles) and Valerie H. Gantner (Bhavit Sheth); sister, Diane Millar (Richard); grandchildren, Nicholas T. Ruhl (Lauren Spencer), Alyssa R. Ruhl, Chase P. Oldham, Grace C. Gantner and Ava Sheth; brothers-in-law, Harley Spry (Barbara) and Brian Feldman (Evelyn); sisters-in-law, Gloria Leon and Doris Pine (Duane); and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12 pm until 1 pm on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 North DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE.
