Brandon P. Laramore, age 33, of Bear, DE, formerly of New Castle, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2013.
A native Delawarean, Brandon was born in Wilmington on April 14, 1979, son of Bradford E. “Brad” Laramore and Wanda C. White Laramore of Bear. He was a 1997 graduate of William Penn High School and would go on to earn a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice with honors from Wilmington University in 2010. A banking compliance analyst by profession, he was employed for two years with the Bank of New York and for the past year with Bancorp in Wilmington.
Brandon was fiercely proud of his rich Irish heritage and greatly enjoyed the excitement of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day each year. A lifelong fan of Notre Dame University football, he was overjoyed when the Fighting Irish played in this year’s BCS football championship. Other favorite hobbies included playing soccer, cooking wonderful meals for his family, and caring for his beloved German Shepherds.
Well known for his kindness and generosity, Brandon was completely devoted to his family and friends. He will be long and fondly remembered as a caring and attentive son, brother, nephew, uncle, godfather, and friend.
In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his brother, Shawn E. Laramore of Wilmington; uncle, Lew White of Newport; aunt, Beverly Wade of Manahawkin, NJ; and many extended family members and very close friends too numerous to name.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday, February 22nd, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle. A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, February 23rd, at Liberty Baptist Church, 2744 Red Lion Road, Bear. Interment will follow in St. Georges Cemetery, Kirkwood-St. Georges Road.
