Briauna Marie Smith

Born January 25, 1997

Briauna Marie Smith, age 20, of Newark, DE, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 22, 2017, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Bri was born in Ft. Walton Beach, FL on January 25, 1997, and was the daughter of William E. Smith and Colleen M. (Auer) Smith. In her younger years, she was active in Girl Scouts and was a member of the Children’s Community Theater in Florida. Given Bri’s love of music, she had aspirations of becoming a singer herself. Above all else, Bri was a loving and devoted daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, who brought sunshine and joy to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.

Bri is survived by her parents, William E. Smith of Nottingham, PA and Colleen M. Smith of Niceville, FL; maternal grandparents, John W Auer, Jr. of North Plainfield, NJ and Sharon E. Young of Concord, NH; brother, Connor R. Smith of Nottingham; aunts, Shari Lynn Auer of Hoboken, NJ, Stacy D. Auer of West New York, NJ, Jennifer Ford of Minnesota, and Christina Mullis of Ponce de Leon, FL; uncle, Larry Smith of Crestline, CA; numerous cousins; and many, many friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:30 pm until 4:30 pm on Saturday afternoon, October 28, 2017, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 4:30 pm. • To the family of Bri,
I am so sorry for your loss. Bri was friends with my daughter and spent time at my home. She was such a beautiful girl with a great personality. She will definitely be missed.

  • Bri, I will never forget the first day I met you. You moved in the house across the street from me and from then we just clicked. We went on so many adventures together, went to so many places, had so much fun. The pool parties you had, the haunted houses you set up in your basement, the play fights we had with Connor and Jacque in your living room. The lemonade stand we set up for you so we could buy you your first webkinz. You were such an amazing person, so full of life and so loved wherever you went and by everyone. You shined with love and light and I will never forget everything you’ve ever done for my soul and how you’ve been a hand in who I am today. I am going to miss you so much but I know I’ll see you again someday. I love you so much. Rest easy beautiful.
    Miss Colleen and Mr Will
